From Isaac's room

Subtitle: "Don't Worry, She's a Nurse"

Let me very clear about something: I am feeling very cautious about hope, optimism, sunshine, and lollipops. We're seeing some additional reasons for hope, but hope has been a fickle friend the past two weeks.

Janel is feeling good, and she's taking advantage of her nurses training. I think you could say she's ready to get the heck out of here...she's been turning Isaac's oxygen down herself.

As of 4:23 p.m. EST:

Oxygen level: .2 liters (both nostrils)

Sats: Maintaining in the 90's

Breathing: Has been as relaxed as we've seen. He's working a little harder this very minute, but I think he's trying to make something in his diaper.

More later...
