The attending physician came and talked with us just after I arrived this afternoon. He expressed the impatience that the physicians are feeling about Isaac's recovery, even though Isaac's response is within expected parameters for what they see on his lungs. Basically, he said we will keep watching Isaac through the weekend. If he hasn't progressed by then, it might be time to do some further investigating. Isaac is showing small improvements, but in many ways it seems he has plateaued. There continues to be a sense that Isaac has one more little hill to climb to get to a point where we can think about going home.
If we were to unite our prayers in one direction, it would be that Isaac could turn that final corner. That his breathing could be easy, that his blood oxygen saturation would be good, and that he could be healthy. If I'm remembering the Hebrew I never took at seminary, the Hebrew word for 'Spirit' is the same as the word for 'breath'. My prayer is that the very Spirit of God, the breath of God, the breath of Life would fill Isaac, give him strength to turn this final corner and come home. Would you please join us in this prayer?

You all are doing great...although you may not feel so sure. Keep on. God will give you strength to do what you need to do.
Your pictures are great. And Isaac is beautiful. He looks great and has a beautiful pink color. I wonder if his size has made the difference between him and you other two. A bigger body has to work a little harder. Jim and I noticed that with development of our own big babies. A big baby simply has more mass to move. It would be nice if Isaac's problem would be something so simple and maybe he will just need a little more time than Joshua and Jenna.
Love you all! May the breath of God fill little Isaac.
Nate thanks for keeping us up to date on Isaac, I think I check the blog every hour at work to see if there is any change, your family is on my mind nonstop,Isaac looks good in the picture its hard to believe that he as been so sick. Also good job on the costume it looks great, it also looks like Jenna is haveing a great time with Grandma Mary. We continue to pray that God will give you the strength you need and that he will heal that precious little guy. Give Janel a great big hug for me please thanks Sheila
I echo the request to send hugs Janel's way. :) And I think little Isaac is precious. Thanks for posting the pictures. Again, we continue to think of you guys and pray for you as I trust God is sustaining you with abundant grace. Thanks for the real specific prayer summary in the other post.
I am thinking and praying for you all. I can't imagine what you all are going through. Caroline was in the hospital this summmer for three days for a weird virus thing and the feeling of helpness and fear can be absolutely overwhelming. I know that God has you all in his hands you are in our thoughts and prayers. . .
He is just beautiful. Your prayer will be our, continually until he is better.
Love the costume and tea party.
I just wanted you to know that since I can't be there in person, I touched Isaac on our computer screen and prayed that God's Spirit would fill and heal him. We are looking forward to your call that you're taking him home!!! Thanks for the picture! What a cutie pie!! Love and prayers always going your way.
Thank you for the picture of Isaac -- he has been on my mind and prayers, so it is nice to have a cute little picture to connect that with. I also find myself obessively checking your blog--really appreciate the constant updates, it helps those of us to want to support you but are so far. We'll keep praying for Isaac, specifically for the breath of God to fill his lungs and heal his body.
