The Bear

One day I ran in from the playground to fix dinner while Nate stayed out with the kids. I walked in to find a very large bear sitting on our love seat! I was so overwhelmed by the bears large size, that with his missing eye, I wasn't sure if I should be creeped out or pleasantly surprised at the newest member in the Stucky household. All I could do was laugh. It came with a note and to make a long story short, I guess it's been 'around' since 2004 here at seminary. You can keep it for 20 days, and are then suppose to 'pass it on'. Seems strange that we've lived here for almost 4 years, and I've never heard about "the bear", until it landed on our couch!

Needless to say, my kids LOVED it! This bear got wrestled with, slept on, tackled many times by Isaac, and drug ALL over the house. I tried hard not to think about all the places this bear might have been and what it might be hiding in its fur - ugh!

The bear has since moved on from our place :). I am slightly curious if it looks familiar to any of you former seminarians out there?

Didn't you know we had the bear last year? It was given to us by a student without kids. It had been passed around single students all the years before and finally ended up on our porch one day sitting in one of our chairs. We passed it on to the Holmes who then passed it on to the Bertrand's. So funny that you guys got it too. Let the bear passing continue!

Are you kidding me?! I can't believe Bear lives on. My sister's ex-boyfriend won that for her at a carnival in 2004. My sister than left it at my parents house, exasperating them. We brought it back to Princeton and thus began the journey of Bear. This is amazing.
