Only in the past month has he started to have opinions. I guess he has pulled the 'I'll be a limp noodle when you pick me up', when you want him to go one direction and he might like to go another. BUT, he's so distractable. You parents know what I mean, there are those children who are easily distracted and those who are a bit more determined (such as my middle child:)!
Isaac has also turned out to be quite the talker. I just figured my third child wouldn't speak until they were about three. Too many other voices to compete with in the house already! His new word for today, "cock a doodle do". He said it pretty well too. Other favorites of mine that he says, "here you go!" comes out more like "here go", and I love it when he says, "Hi Sissy" and "Hi Bubba".
Anyway, I pray the joy he has for life never dies. I pray he continues to light up whatever space he's in. And I'm not sure how much stock we put into the meaning of our child's name, as they did in the old days, but the name Isaac means "he laughs". Our Isaac's name has turned out to be what some might say has been prophetic of his little personality. We love you Biddle Bugs!
Isaac loves, loves, loves!!! to dig in the dirt...with his fingers. Such a boy!
Isaac's first experience of splashing in puddles! He of course loved it. I, on the other hand kept wondering, 'what am I thinking, of course he's going to fall!' He did. I suppose the joy of watching him splash in the puddle out weighed the two dollars it cost me to wash his coat when he did, in fact, fall down in the muddy puddle.
This barrel is right outside our front door. Isaac goes to it first thing anytime we head out the door. His favorite - to dig a handful of dirt out. Oh goody!
March Maddness inspired Isaac to become a baller! He loved to put the ball in the hoop.
Sweet baby boy! Long story short, Isaac rubbed some spicy sauce in his eyes at dinner one evening. It burned both his eyes and he was miserable to say the least. I got lots of sweet cuddling time in, ending with one very tired boy falling asleep in my arms - a very rare occurrence. Thankfully, he recovered very nicely by the next morning!
Let the pretending begin! This is how Isaac greeted me one morning. He was ready to go! I asked him where he was going and he'd say "Bye bye!!"

I just cannot believe that he is old enough to be talking and walking and all that fun stuff. Miss you guys.
What a handsome little man! I know what a joy it is to have a happy, content, easy-going baby.
I can't believe he's 18 months today! My how quickly the time goes. I loved reading all about what he's up to and seeing some recent pictures. I can't WAIT to see you all again this summer! We love you and miss you!
