Day to Day

It's been awhile again...nothing major to report. Just the everyday events of life with kiddo's! Nate is back in full swing with second semester. So far he's enjoying his classes. He's looking forward to a semester that's not quite as busy as the last. As for me, I'm diving into scrapbooking again. Feels good to be on my way to catching up, hopefully.

The kid's have been enjoying all the snow we've been having. It's finally warmer this week, but a soggy mess out there now. We all come crawling out from hibernation to the ole CRW playground on days like today - 47 degrees. It's interesting to see how all the kid's get bigger in just a few short months, some walking now, and lots of new bellies on the mamma's that weren't evident last spring : ).

That about sums it up. We have so much to be thankful for. We are even more keenly aware of how blessed we are since hearing of the death of Nate's - sister's - close friend's 11 month old. Little Cora lost the battle to cancer after only 2 short weeks since being diagnosed. Our hearts ache severely for them...we had been praying so fervently for them and obviously will continue. If you think of it say a prayer for them. Their names are Joel and Jessica. Thanks, and let's not forget to count our blessings daily. Janel

Finger painting on a snowy day! Notice my daughter has a paint shirt on and Joshua doesn't...very indicative of their personalities : )!

Joshua's 'map'

Jenna's finger painting ended in hand sliming - surprise, surprise.

Having a little 'campout'.

We took one Saturday to prime and then paint the loft. Nice to have it completely finished! This is the priming phase, the final coat was a chocolate brown.

Jenna always has her idea's of how she should be involved or how she might "help". Not sure what she was thinking with all the Tupperware, but she busily hauled it all back there!

A quick snapshot of the wonderful snow we've had!

This is my very busy daughter. We were getting ready to go somewhere and she had collected her purses that needed to go with her too! She did have all of them in one hand, but I wasn't quick enough with the camera.

This is my good friend, Holly, at her baby shower. On more than one occasion people have asked if we were sisters. Can you see the resemblance:)?

This is Jenna exercising with me in Daddy's shoes!

As someone who is related to Holly, I can also attest to the resemblance. When we met you for the first time I whispered in John's ear, "I think she could be my sister." :)

We will keep that family in our prayers...I can't imagine that heartache.

Great update, Janel! What do you think...should we reveal the truth...that we really are sisters?

Do you make finger paint? I've heard of using pudding, but I haven't worked up the nerve to try it with Aliza.
