I'll expound on the potty training first. I just decided she seemed ready. Went straight to underware and on the first morning she already had it figured out how to make her pee come! Wahoo! So the pee part has been mostly smooth sailing. On the other hand, when it comes to days she really can't hold the no. 2 any longer, we have a bit more of a challenge on our hands. So we've had a couple victories, but still struggle for the most part. I'm going to hang in there though. Joshua took about 3 weeks to figure out that part too, so we'll just keep trying to be patient! I couldn't be more proud of her!
And now she is 2! Her birthdate is on the 25th, but we celebrated on the 26th. We invited what seems to be her best lil' buddy, Ellie, and her family over for dinner and cake. It was such a blessed evening. One of Nate's good friends from campus, Ryan, came and joined us as well. I was a bit sad that this was the first birthday of one of our kiddo's that no family was here, but in the end you make the best of it and it truly was such a great evening! Thanks Cady's and Ryan!!
So Jenna had her 2 year check up this morning. She weighed in at 26lbs (48%) and 34 1/2" tall (75%). She's 1" shorter and 2lbs lighter than I was at this age. Interesting b/c the Dr. said she'll probably be around 5'7"-5'8". So I'm 5'8", so she may just be right on! We'll see in just a few short years.
Other than those major milestones, Jenna continues to make us smile and work hard at not laughing when she should be getting in trouble and not seeing us laugh (she was in time out by 645am on her birthday, that's an early morning record)! I love to watch her verbal skills expanding rapidly, watch her independent spirit as she already likes to take her own coat off and put her own shoes on. I love her creativity in play, and there aren't words to express what a gift she is to our family. I don't say this lightly, we thank God everyday for the gift of our children! Our past experiences have given us such a deep appreciation for our children. So, Happy Birthday Jenna, we love you more than words! Blessings to all -Janel

Yay! Janel! We LOVED looking at all the pictures!!! We are so proud of Jenna Jo and wish we were there to cheer her on on the potty! We wish we could have celebrated her birthday with you and wish you could've been here for Braden's! What a blessing these children are to us. We miss you!!

You are so so so lucky with the potty!!! Looks like lots of birthday fun. I did think of Jenna this week since her birthday is so close to Josiah's. She is absolutely adorable.
Janel!!! She is so precious. Don't you LOVE having a girl. I don't think I would know what to do with a boy. :) She is almost the age Allie was when we met you guys...that is weird! (2 more months) She looks just like you in the close up pic. Oh, and I love your hair, by the way...too cute.
