Snow, snow and more snow!!!

Here's a bit of a recap of our last week... Grandma Mary flew in last Friday so she could stay with our kiddo's while Nate and I went on a long awaited 10 year anniversary trip (that would be 14 months late). Jenna, Isaac and myself all had the stomach bug earlier that same week, but were recovering nicely (this would be the 3rd round of the stomach bug in our home since Thanksgiving - what's wrong with us???).

Nate finished his first semester of PhD work on Monday - a bit of a grueling experience, but he finished none the less! Way to go Honey!

We left early Monday afternoon to spend two nights at a B&B in northern NJ. There aren't words to express what a fun and relaxing time we had! We returned home Wednesday afternoon in the beautiful falling snow. Grandma and the kids did wonderfully!

Two hours after we returned home Grandma started puking. Five hours after we returned home Nate started puking. Good times!

Wednesday night we opened our patio curtains to watch the amazing snow/lightning and thunder storm outside. Amazing! Truly amazing! Thursday we awoke to over 18 inches of snow. That is on top of all the snow we still had from the last couple of weeks. There is so much snow around here!! I've honestly never seen so much snow. We played in it all day long and had so much fun. The last thing we did yesterday was to tour the community and all the fun things people made - enormous snowmen, igloos, forts, tunnels, you name it, it was made. Who would have thought we'd have more snow than we did last winter, this winter!!

Grandma is back to full health again and Nate is doing great as well. He flew out this morning to speak at a retreat for the weekend and me and the kids plan on partying hard with Grandma for the weekend. We're so excited she's staying until Monday!

This is our fort we built. Not a very impressive picture, wish I had a front view, maybe in the next blog.

It was no small feet to dig out our vehicles!!!

The snow on top had already been brushed off

Woah gussy!!!! Look at all that snow! Reminds me of last winter here. :) Looks like SO much fun! Can't believe Mary and Nate got sick! So glad and thankful that it didn't happen until you were all home again! Enjoy your last bit of time with your mom! What fun!!!
