Happenings

Well, I'm not sure where time goes, but it sure goes!! I'll highlight the last month. Isaac is changing very quickly. He started solids on April 6th. I always put if off as long as I can, but it was time. He had his 6 month well check (what a gift to be able to say "well" check - praise the Lord!:) on April 16. He weighed in at 19lbs and 4oz and to our surprise, the Dr. found his bottom left tooth almost through!!! Within a week it was through only to be followed by the one beside it days after that. And we never even knew!!! What a kid. He has a smile for everyone who acknowledges him, is an amazing sleeper, and is so very content.

The first two pictures below are of us making gordevi, a sort of sweet bread eaten for breakfast. It's a tradition in Nate's family, and we finally attempted it on our own. It's quite the undertaking, mostly due to the complexity of making the icing. But, when it was all said and done, we had 10 in our freezer! We eat one each Sunday morning for breakfast! Ethnic food is such a central part of our families, it's fun to carry on the traditions.

My mom was just here for the week, she left today. We had such a great time with her!!! I'll post on that later, with pictures.

Joshua wanted to try this 'beating the icing' thing!

The end result - delicious!!!

Love that hat!!

Sweet boys

Isaac will often try to chew on all his fingers at the same time - such high goals at such a young age :)!

Messiness - after some yummy dessert I'm sure

Isaac's first time to eat solids!
