Still waiting on the morning call from Janel. Grandma's got all our sheets in the washer; we've had our breakfast; and we prepare for the day.
It was good (is that really the best word I can come up with?) for Mary and I to be with Janel and Isaac at the hospital last night. I commented to Mary and Janel how everyday this past week, it has felt like Isaac is just a couple days from coming home. We've been through quite the succession of 'couple days'.
When we left last night, Isaac was on .25 liters of oxygen. Made yesterday feel more like a step backwards. As of right now, Isaac has been on his reflux meds for 38 hours. If they are going to help with his blood oxygen saturation, that process should begin within the next 24.
Once again, we are overwhelmed by the gracious care that our seminary community is providing for us. Without our having to ask, a good friend of ours coordinated a ride for Mary to the airport today and someone to stay at our place after the kids were in bed last night. I also let it slip that I was running low on coffee at our apartment...within a matter of hours, we had four different varieties of coffee from two wonderful friends. Thanks to all who are bringing us life, hope, and sanity.
