School and Other Things

I'm finally posting Joshua's first day of kindergarten pictures. He's made it through about 2 1/2 weeks now. He gets on the bus at 830 and is home just before noon. So they pack it in those 2 1/2 hours he's there. I'm a big fan of the half day kindergarten, so am excited they still do that here. He goes to a school that is just K-3rd, but there is about 800 students in all!!!! Crazy. Welcome to population central. I sure do miss aspects of the Midwest, and less people and friendlier school systems is one of them. They have tight security here, for good reason. But we didn't even get to see Joshua's classroom until he had been is school for over 2 weeks. Anyway, gotta scoot for now. Blessings - Janel

Thanks to Joshua's first week of school, he joined us in our Sunday afternoon naps!

Jenna's first cup of hot cocoa for the chilly season!

Yummy!

We do a babysitting swap with two other couples. This means one night with 6 kids and 2 date nights! The kids have loads of fun together. This night the play area of choice was at the bottom of one of our closets.

This is the kindergarten crew (minus about 3 others).

Joshua was so excited to ride the bus! For the first week or so, if you asked his favorite thing about kindergarten, his answer was "riding the bus!" There are about 22 kids from our seminary community this year that ride this bus! How fun.
