A rough night...

Janel called me at 3:00 this morning.

Isaac had been doing really well on less oxygen up until 1:00 a.m. Then Janel fed him at 1:00 and he began having difficulty breathing. They called up a doctor from the emergency room, who ordered a breathing treatment for Isaac. After the breathing treatment, they brought in a cage style crib equipped with an oxygen tent. Apparently, they thought the tent would provide adequate oxygen without a nasal canula, but this didn't turn out to be the case. They ended up using both a canula and the tent, and Isaac was still struggling. (Previously, Isaac was getting oxygen only through a canula.)

Obviously, this is scary, and it feels like movement in the wrong direction.

The verse at the top of our blog from Isaiah says God gently leads those with young. This doesn't feel very gentle.
