Brief Comment on Kitchen Dimensions and Intestinal Propulsion

(Those of you familiar with CRW kitchens should appreciate this.)

One of the uniqe features of our duplex apartment is the fact that we have two kitchens. We've adapted our second kitchen into a changing area for Isaac. A towel on the counter across from the stove provides a lovely changing space. Last night Isaac had a poopy diaper at about 3:30. I've already noticed in his short life that it takes him a few minutes to get everything worked out, so I wisely paused before wiping so he could do his final purge.

When I was convinced he was finished, I lifted his legs to wipe his bottom. The pressure that this apparently put on his abdomen resulted in one tremendous explosion. The shrapnel hit my arm, sprayed across the floor, and made it all the way to the stove on the other side of the kitchen.

From this little account, I have drawn two conclusions:

First, Isaac has some impressive range.

Second, our kitchens are small.
