Saturday Fun

For the last couple of Saturdays we've taken time to take in all that Fall has to offer out here in New Jersey. First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous! Last Saturday we took a trip up to New Hope, PA. We stopped by Terhune Orchards first to grab some apple cider donuts and enjoy some of their apple festivities. Then we headed on up to New Hope where we just enjoyed walking around together. It was more the journey of beautiful fall colors we were interested in and not so much the destination.

This weekend the kids and I and some of our good friends took a trip up to the Howell Living History Farm. They were doing free hayrides! What fun! It turned colder as of Thursday evening, and so the weather was just right for a walk around the farm and a hayride. Nate is gone for the weekend to a youth leader's weekend, so the kids and I are trying hard to make due without him. This evening we finally took a trip to Lowe's to buy a rake to make leaf piles with.

Reading week is this coming week for Nate and Kara and Braden come on Friday. Yeah! That's a quick snapshot of what's going on around here. Blessings -Janel
